The "Krystal Lovers" love stories for Valentine's Day 2009 include:
- Red roses on Valentine's Day are too cliché for Nanette Davis of Calhoun, Ga. Her husband Ronnie is smart enough to know that the way to woman's heart is always through her stomach, which is why Davis gets a dozen Cheese Krystals from her hubby every year.
- Southerners are known for crazy groom's cakes themed with a favorite football team or mascot, but the bride usually keeps it traditional. Megan Rucker of Rockwood, Tenn., however, went beyond convention with a gigantic three-tiered tower of little, square Krystals topped with a miniature bride and groom. It was a Krystal Lover's dream wedding for Megan and Todd Rucker.
- During their 20 years of marriage, eating at Krystal has been a traditional for Travis and Tammy Holder of Lewisburg, Tenn., from their first dinner as a married couple. The couple recently honored their 20th wedding anniversary with a Krystal dinner as well. Travis said, "This is the place where I plan to be another 20 years from now."
