LOUISVILLE, Ky. — KFC has completed its menu makeover so that all KFC menu items now contain zero grams trans fat per serving, the company has announced.
In April 2007, KFC completed a transition to a zero grams trans fat per serving cooking oil for its signature fried chicken products and potato wedges. While the large majority of the menu was impacted by the change in cooking oil at that time, a few menu items required additional reformulation to complete the transition. With the introduction of the Fresh Tastes Best campaign, KFC now completes its menu transformation with all menu items containing zero grams trans fat per serving.
In addition, KFC is promoting its Unbeatable Feast as an affordable family dinner solution for five for $14.99, only $3 per person. The meal includes:
- Ten pieces of Original Recipe chicken
- Two family-size orders of mashed potatoes with gravy
- One large order of coleslaw
- Five biscuits
KFC has launced a new ad showcasing the brand's "Fresh Tastes Best" campaign, which focuses on KFC restaurants having a trained cook hand bread all Original Recipe chicken on the bone fresh daily.
KFC's "fresh" claim is applicable to its Original Recipe thighs, drumsticks, breasts and wings. Not applicable in Alaska and Hawaii and due to supply outages.
