MIAMI — Burger King Corp. is rewarding guests who use their Visa cards with chances to win a $1,000 Amazon.com gift card or $1,000 Amazon.ca gift certificate. Between Jan. 5 and March 4, when guests at participating Burger King restaurants in the United States and Canada use their Visa card in the restaurant, they automatically will be entered for a chance to win one of 50 gift cards or gift certificates.
The promotion will be supported with in-restaurant merchandising, local media promotions, and online presence at www.bk.com/visa. Official rules are available at participating Burger King restaurants or www.bk.com/visa.
Whopper Sacrifice app on Facebook
Burger King also is offering the downloadable Facebook application, Whopper Sacrifice, in which Facebook users are rewarded with a coupon for a free Whopper when they delete 10 of their friends from their profile at www.whoppersacrifice.com. The promotion is limited to one coupon per person and is redeemable at participating U.S. Burger King restaurants. As of Jan. 9, the Web site reported that more than 53,000 friends had been "sacrificed" since the promotion launch.
