TORONTO — McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Ltd., has been chosen as one of Canada's 50 best employers, the only quick-service restaurant in the country to earn the honor. McDonald's ranked No. 36.
Compiled by Hewitt and Associates for the Globe and Mail's Report on Business Magazine and La Presse, the national ranking is determined by employees, who fill out a comprehensive opinion questionnaire.
Each year, McDonald's Canada conducts internal employee surveys to get feedback on how well the company is doing. The most recent survey of nearly 42,000 people showed that 84 percent agreed or strongly agreed that they felt valued as an employee of McDonald's, and that 86 percent said they were proud to be working at McDonald's.
McDonald's Canada also was recently named one of Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures.
