NEW YORK — Trian Partners' purchase of 49,395,394 shares of Wendy's/Arby's Class A common stock has been verified.
 
The fund management group now owns approximately 21.6 percent of Wendy's/Arby's outstanding Class A common stock, up from 11.1 percent for a total of 101,456,002 shares.
