DETROIT — Tim Hortons has announced the opening of its 500th store in the United States. The store, located at the Millender Center in downtown Detroit, will open on Dec. 15. The franchisees are former NBA star Derrick Coleman and his business partner, Walter Bender.
 
The Millender Center location will feature the full Tim Hortons menu, including premium blend coffee, a full hot and cold beverage lineup, fresh baked goods, home-style lunches and the popular Breakfast Sandwich.
