ATLANTA — Domestic comparable-store sales at AFC Enterprises Inc., the franchisor and operator of Popeyes restaurants, decreased 2.8 percent for the 2008 third quarter ended Oct. 5., compared with a decrease of 1.9 percent for the same period last year. Global comps were off 1.9 percent, compared with a decrease of 1.7 percent last year.
 
The company will host a conference call on Nov. 13 to discuss third-quarter earnings and provide an update on its new strategic plan, which was announced earlier this year.
