ATLANTA — Marble Slab Creamery has announced the opening of its first franchise location in Lebanon. The first of five stores planned over the next seven years opened Sept. 3 at the City Mall in Beirut. Operating principal Nidal Nahra is an architect from the Beirut suburb of Jouneih.

The company established an international master franchise agreement with Nhara in 2007. The new store locations will initially concentrate in Beirut before expanding into other cities. The agreement is supported by NexCen Brands Inc., parent company of Marble Slab Creamery.

The brand has more than 390 locations in the United States, Canada and the United Arab Emirates and will expand into Mexico at the beginning of next year.
