CARPINTERIA, Calif. — CKE Restaurants Inc. has announced its Carl's Jr. and Hardee's period six same-store sales for the four weeks ended July 14, 2008, are up 5.2 percent. Year to date, same-store sales are up 2.5 percent.

Consolidated revenue from company-operated restaurants was approximately $89.4 million, with Carl's Jr. earning $49.4 million and Hardee's $40 million.

Andrew F. Puzder, president and chief executive officer, credits the chains' premium-priced Prime Rib Burger for the company's success for the period.

CKE will report same-store sales results for period seven ending Aug. 11, 2008, on or about Aug. 20, 2008.
