CHICAGO — During the month of July, employees and franchisees of Dunkin' Brands will volunteer at America's Second Harvest Food Banks to fight hunger in their local communities. There will be an estimated 250 volunteers donating their time in 16 cities, according to a press release.
Volunteers will perform a wide variety of tasks in their efforts to help feed people at risk of hunger. For example, in Boston, they will sort food at the Greater Boston Food Bank.
The effort is part of Dunkin' Brands' long-term commitment to support America's Second Harvest—The Nation's Food Bank Network. This year, the Dunkin' Brands Community Foundation donated nearly $300,000 to America's Second Harvest's efforts to prepare for and respond to disasters.
Dunkin Brands employees also are scheduled to volunteer in Charlotte, N.C., Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, Miami, Nashville, Tenn., New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Providence, R.I., Tampa, Fla., Washington, D.C., and Youngstown, Ohio.
