UPI.com: Neal T. Baker, who was a key player in the origin of several successful fast-food chains, has died in his Redland, Calif., home at age 84, his family said. The cause of death was not announced.
 
Baker helped several fast-food entrepreneurs get started in the business. Several of those original businesses were sold off to become top brand names, including McDonald's and Taco Bell.
