South Florida Business Journal: The Federal Trade Commission has approved Triarc Cos.' planned $2.34 billion acquisition of Dublin, Ohio-based Wendy's International.
 
The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of the year and would create the third-largest quick-service restaurant chain in the U.S.
