XProtean unveils aPOS solution for quick-serve restaurants

MILPITAS, Calif. — XProtean has introduced an integrated retail-management solution to optimize operations for small format retailers, including quick-service restaurant managers and employees.
The web-based, modular solution integrates advanced point-of-sale (aPOS) with in-store and enterprise systems. Key features include:
- aPOS to handle transactions, payment processing, customer rewards and time management
- In-Store Systems to address demand based replacement, inventory management, price optimization, loyalty programs and more
- Enterprise-Wide Systems for merchandise management, lifecycle planning, order fulfillment, marketing and promotions and business intelligence
XProtean is built on an open architecture and is hardware independent. The company has a strategic partnership with hardware provider Sharp as well as industry partnerships with NCR, IBM, Allied Electronics, First Data, Mercury Payment Systems and Delphi.
