PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. — Culver's recently was recognized with the Circle of Humanitarian Award from the American Red Cross for the support the company and its franchise partners provided in 2007.

In conjunction with National Red Cross Month, Culver's more than 370 participating restaurants in 16 states donated 10 percent of sales March 5 to local Red Cross chapters during a second annual systemwide "Day of Giving" fundraising event. Guests added to the contribution by giving personal donations in canisters available at each Culver's throughout the week.

The two-year fundraising total exceeds $348,000.
