LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Yum! Brands Inc. has announced that its board of directors approved a dividend of 15 cents per share of common stock, which will be distributed May 2, 2008, to shareholders of record at the close of business on April 11, 2008.

Yum! has tripled their quarterly dividend since declaring their first payment in May 2004. In 2007, Yum! returned $1.7 billion to shareholders, including $1.4 billion in share repurchases and nearly $275 million in dividends. The repurchases reduced their average diluted shares outstanding by 4 percent at a cost of $33.66 per share, while the dividend yielded a return of 1.8 percent based on the company's stock price at the beginning of the 2007 fiscal year.
