Arby's acquires 41 Calif. restaurants

ATLANTA — Arby's Restaurant Group Inc., a subsidiary of Triarc Cos. Inc. has acquired 41 restaurants in California from Arby's franchisee Cambridge Investments LLC and its affiliates. The restaurants are in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Bakersfield and Fresno markets.

All active employees of the 41 restaurants were given the opportunity to continue to work in the stores. Arby's Restaurant Group Inc. now owns and operates 42 of the 133 Arby's restaurants in California and, as of Feb. 24, 2008, including the effect of the Cambridge acquisition, 1,148 of the more than 3,600 Arby's restaurants worldwide.
