OAK BROOK, Ill. — Global comparable sales at McDonald's Corp. rose 5.9 percent in September and 6.9 percent in the third quarter 2007. Systemwide sales for McDonald's restaurants worldwide increased 11.5 percent for the month and 11.8 percent for the quarter.
U.S. comps rose 3.5 percent for the month. Comps in Europe rose 5.7 percent, while comps in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa went up 12 percent for the month and a 10-year record high of 11.4 percent for the quarter.
