SouthCoastToday: Robert Burda, who operated 13 Wendy's restaurants in Massachusetts, has been indicted for issuing bad checks and failing to pay employees. The restaurants closed without notice July 20, and left as many as 450 workers unpaid.
 
Wendy's corporate parent stepped in and paid the workers.
