ATLANTA — Restaurant Technology Inc., provider of Web-based restaurant back-office systems, has joined with three major foodservice distributors to provide electronic ordering to restaurants using RTIconnect software.
Harvest Foods, Manning Brothers, and Pate Dawson were added last quarter as new RTI Supply Chain Partners. Their participation allows restaurants using RTIconnect to download their electronic order guides via the Internet.
The partner interfaces were added at the request of RTI's quick-service customers in the Wendy's and Bojangle's franchise systems who use RTIconnect to manage restaurant food costs.
RTIconnect automatically calculates a suggested food order, taking into consideration all of the factors that influence the ordering decision, including forecasted sales, inventory on hand, inventory ordered but not yet delivered, and optional safety factors. The suggested order can then be modified by the restaurant manager before it is sent electronically to the foodservice distributor.
