WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. has filed a Uniform Franchise Offering Circular for review in those states that require it, the company announced.
 
The move was seen as a step in turning around the donut chain, which has suffered in recent years from a decline in donut sales, earnings restatements and an investigation into its accounting practices.
 
Once the document is approved by the various states, Krispy Kreme plans to offer franchises in all 50 states.
