SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Blimpie restaurant chain recently taped its newest nationwide commercial featuring Blimpie founder, Tony Conza, along side recent Arizona State University graduate Sean Campbell. Sean, a recent graduate with his bachelor's degree in vocal performance, will be singing opera in the commercial.
He was discovered in a local restaurant where he just happened to be sitting a few tables over from Blimpie's creative team developing the commercial. He overheard them talking about needing an opera singer for their new ad. So he went over at started singing for them in the middle of the restaurant. After hearing him sing, they invited him to the auditions where he was selected for the job.
Blimpie is owned by Kahala Corp., which currently owns and franchises 11 quick-service restaurant concepts.
