Associated Press: In the first complaint the city health department received about a rodent-infested fast-food restaurant, someone said a rat fell from the ceiling where they were eating.

That was Jan. 22, a month before a rat infestation at a KFC/Taco Bell in Manhattan was captured by a TV camera and the ensuing city-wide crackdown by health officials.
