• Franchise concept features fast-food pizza

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Three veterans of the Oregon pizza trade have introduced Motopizza, a fast-food pizza concept featuring a drive-through format that serves up a fresh, large pizza for $5 within 30 seconds. 
 
The initial Motopizza prototype opened Feb. 24 in Hillsboro, Ore.; four more Motopizza stores are due to open in the Portland, Ore., area within the year. Franchise opportunities will be available in late 2007.
 
According to a news release, The Motopizza menu includes four 30-second large pizzas and a daily special, each priced at $5, and a Hawaiian pizza for $8. Pizzas also can be ordered, with pickup in two minutes. Motopizza's other menu items include bread sticks, chicken wings, churros, apple fries, and soft drinks.
