LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In a directive from its KFC Moms Matter! Advisory Board, KFC has unveiled the Web site http://www.bringbackdinner.com/, an online resource designed to help families connect more often at the dinner table.
First on the menu is the "KFC Good Grade Challenge," a program that encourages families to eat dinner together more often weekly, with the challenge that, if they regularly enjoy meals together, their child's grades could improve. According to a recent study conducted by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, children who eat dinner with their families five or more times a week are more likely to have higher grades in school — regardless of gender, family structure, or family socioeconomic level.
The "KFC Good Grade Challenge" encourages Americans to add another family dinner to their household's weekly calendar for 10 weeks with the promise that, if their child's grades improve, KFC will pick up the cost of their child's KFC dinners over that 10 weeks, up to $50.00.
Interested parents are invited to register for the "KFC Good Grade Challenge" at BringBackDinner.com between Feb. 22 and March 23, and then — during a 10-week period from March 23 to June 1 — add one more family dinner to their schedules each week over a bucket of KFC or KFC products.
