CARPINTERIA, Calif. — Carl's Jr. will celebrate the opening of its 300th dual-branded Carl's Jr./Green Burrito restaurant location Jan. 30 in Livermore, Calif.
 
Carl's Jr., which is owned by CKE Restaurants Inc., opened the first dual-branded Carl's Jr./Green Burrito restaurant in Carson, Calif., in 1994. CKE acquired the Green Burrito chain in 2002.
 
Carl's Jr.'s sister chain, Hardee's, began rolling out its own dual branding effort under the brand name Red Burrito last year. There are currently more than thirty Hardee's/Red Burrito dual-branded restaurants.
