ATLANTA — AFC Enterprises Inc., franchisor and operator of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, reported operational results for its financial period 11 ended Oct. 29, 2006, and period 12 ended Nov. 26.

Total domestic same-store sales decreased 1.8 percent in period 11 and 4.1 percent in period 12 , compared to increases of 6.6 percent and 6.7 percent for the same periods in 2005. Same-store sales for company-operated restaurants declined 5.5 percent and 7.2 percent respectively in periods 11 and 12.

The company said these decreases reflect the rollover effect of unusually high same-store sales in the prior year during the periods following Hurricane Katrina.
