CHICAGO — Friendly Ice Cream Corporation will spread extra holiday cheer to families living with disabilities by launching a limited-time holiday season fundraiser to benefit Easter Seals.
From Nov. 24 through Jan. 2, guests of Friendly's restaurants can support Easter Seals by donating a $1, and in return, receive a thank you coupon sheet redeemable for five free kids' meals (valued at $20 or more).
The money raised through Friendly's kids meal promotion will help Easter Seals provide comprehensive programs and services such as medical rehabilitation, assistive technology, inclusive child care, adult day centers, and even camping and recreation for children and adults with disabilities.
Since 1981, Friendly's has played a key role in supporting Easter Seals and the thousands of children and adults living with disabilities it serves. Friendly's restaurants on the East Coast have raised more than $23.3 million to date, $1 million in 2006 alone.
