LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Papa John's Pizza is rolling out a new Superman Pan Pizza along with a $3-off, instantly redeemable coupon for the Warner Brother's DVD release "Superman Returns." (Read also Papa John's Pizza swings into King Kong pizza, DVD promo.)
According to a news release, the $12.99 pizza shares the square-pan crust with the Papa's Perfect Pan and includes seven toppings. Additionally, residents on Lois Lanes nationwide and within a Papa John's delivery area will receive a free Superman Pan Pizza when they order online at www.papajohns.com through Dec. 12.
Papa John's will kick off its Superman promotion with a Nov. 28 launch in Metropolis, Ill., the adopted home of Superman. Residents of Metropolis attending the event will be treated to free Superman Pan Pizza along with Noel Neill, the actress who will portray Superman's Lois Lane in the movie. Those attending the event also will be treated to the new Superman Returns DVD.
To accommodate the anticipated crowd, Papa John's will use a mobile kitchen stationed in the middle of Superman Square. The company expects to serve 1,000 slices of the new pie.
