• CKE Restaurants period 9 comps skyrocket

CARPINTERIA, Calif. — CKE Restaurants reported its blended comparable-store sales rose 7.4 percent for the four weeks ended Oct. 9.
 
"We attribute these gains to our continued premium quality strategy, innovative products and effective advertising," said Andrew F. Puzder, president and chief executive officer. 
 
 Carl's Jr. same-store sales were up 7.2 percent while Hardee's increased 7.6 percent.
