CARPINTERIA, Calif. — CKE Restaurants Inc. announced the sale of 38 company Carl's Jr. restaurants in its Oklahoma region for approximately $10.7 million.
According to a news release, the buyers include Star Chasers Oklahoma Inc. and Oklahoma Territories LLC, two newly formed private entities whose owners include Stephen D. Anthony, an existing franchisee of four Carl's Jr. restaurants, as well as members of the management team of the restaurants and other investors.
The transaction, which closed July 24, included the sale of substantially all of the assets, including the real property interests, pertaining to the restaurants. The sale of these restaurants is not expected to have a material impact on future earnings of CKE at the Carl's Jr. operating unit or on a consolidated basis.
