Dell launches new POS

CHICAGO — Dell announced a point-of-sale (POS) system using Restaurant Pro Express software that allows restaurants to simplify ordertaking and easily track inventory, employee and customer information.

Unveiled at the National Restaurant Association's annual convention and expo, the system integrates a Dell

OptiPlex desktop computer, Restaurant Pro Express software from pcAmerica, touchscreen monitor, credit card reader, receipt printer and cash drawer.

According to a news release, Dell provides three-year Hardware Warranty Service and offers optional packages for extended software support, upgrades and training.
