IRVINE, Calif. — EPL Intermediate Inc., parent company of El Pollo Loco Inc. reported results for its quarter ended March 29, 2006.
 
Comparable-store sales for the system increased 11.4 percent, with company-operated restaurant stores up 10 percent and franchise sales up 12.7 percent. According to a news release, part of the sales increase was attributed to record California rainfall that dampened sales in the comparable quarter.
 
The company reported revenue of $63.2 million versus $54.7 million last year.
