Cold Stone Creamery expanding into nontraditional venues old

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Cold Stone Creamery has entered into an agreement to test four locations inside select Target stores and has begun expansion in airports, sports arenas and amusement parks.

According to a news release, Cold Stone has opened stores in US Airways Center (home of the Phoenix Suns), Chase Field (home of the Arizona Diamondbacks), with additional locations slated to open in Terminal Four of the Sky Harbor Airport and in the Sweetest Place on Earth at Hershey Park in May 2006, with another 25 nontraditional sites expected to open in the coming year.

The company said additional targeted segments include travel centers, college and universities, and military bases.
