Reuters: Chick-fil-A Inc., the family-owned U.S. chicken chain, has an aggressive plan to venture beyond its Southern roots by adding what could be hundreds of California outlets, the company's president said on April 12. The challenge, according to president and chief operating officer Dan Cathy, will be maintaining Chick-fil-A's family-owned feel and values as it not only gets bigger, but seeks to draw in customers who are unfamiliar with its brand.
