LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Yum! Brands Inc. reported estimated first-quarter system sales for its International Division increased 6 percent prior to foreign currency conversion or 2 percent after conversion to U.S. dollars.

U.S. blended same-store sales at company restaurants increased 4 percent, and actual first-quarter system sales for the China Division grew 14 percent prior to foreign currency conversion or 16 percent after conversion to U.S. dollars. In the U.S., Louisville, Ky.-based Yum said that first quarter same-store sales at Taco Bell bounced 8 percent while KFC rose 5 percent and Pizza Hut slipped 1 percent.
