NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Wienerschnitzel, the world's largest hot dog chain, announced a company-wide initiative to support expansion among current and prospective franchisees. The campaign is designed to aid in the company's long-term goal of opening 20 to 25 stores by 2007.
To support its development efforts, Wienerschnitzel has employed several resources, including a strategic partnership with National Franchise Sales, a franchise brokerage firm. Alan F. Gallup a former director of operations with Wienerschnitzel, and now a principal with National Franchise Sales, will spearhead efforts to market the concept's franchise opportunities with new franchisees in target markets. Additionally, expansion and franchise branding in key markets such as Los Angeles will play a pivotal role in the company's initiative.
"Wienerschnitzel has held a healthy and competitive foodservice niche in Los Angeles," said Tom Trujillo, franchisee and owner of nine Los Angeles-area locations. "Los Angeles is a target area for the company to potentially expand the brand with new stores, just as it is in several other markets."
