Del Taco create "Jaws" ad to promote Crispy Fish Burrito

Del Taco updated its menu with the Crispy Fish Burrito. The new item features two crispy fish fillets, ancho chili sauce, crunchy cabbageand freshly made salsa wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. The burrito sells for $2.89.

According to a news release, the new menu item will be supported by an ad that features Dan the Del Taco product guy. In the ad, Dan takes a crusty boat captain in search of his favorite fishing spot — the Del Taco drive thru. While getting bag after bag of this new favorite burrito from the drive-thru window, Dan quips, "We're gonna need a bigger boat," in a spoof of a scene from the legendary movie, "Jaws." The spot was created by Tustin, Calif.-based Brainsaw.
