HOUMA, La. — Chick-fil-A will open Houma's first free-standing Chick-fil-A restaurant Feb 16. and will give away $26,000 in free Chick-fil-A food. Company president Dan Cathy said the company has given away more than $3 million in free Chick-fil-A products since starting the promotion in 2003.

According to a news release, the first 100 adults, age 18 and older with identification, in line by 6 a.m. receive free food. According to a news release, the line can begin forming up to 24 hours prior to the opening, with the prizes being awarded on Feb. 16 between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. The restaurant will open for business at 6:30 a.m.
