MINNEAPOLIS -- Restaurant Technologies Inc. (RTI), a provider of bulk cooking oil management services to the restaurant industry, announced that the company is the recipient of the McDonald's Corporation 2005 Supplier Innovation Award. This annual award recognizes a McDonald's supplier that has made a significant contribution to improving the process for serving customers.

According to a company news release, the RTI closed-loop oil management system allows restaurant managers to lower operating costs, increase productivity and improve working conditions. The release said the system provides replenishment, filtration and disposal of cooking oil, eliminating dangerous hands-on oil management in the workplace and providing an environmentally sound approach to distribution.
