Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM), has been named one of FORTUNE magazine's "Top 50 Employers for Women" for its comprehensive results across key diversity measures. FORTUNE's "Top 50 Employers for Women" survey appears in its December 12 issue. The magazine surveyed over 1,000 public and private U.S. companies and made its selection based on key measures such as percentage of female board members and new hires, compensation, managerial diversity, and family benefits.
For the past several years, Yum! Brands has been nationally recognized for its diverse workforce. More than 50 percent of Yum!'s U.S. workforce are minorities as well as more than 50 percent of the company's new hires. In addition, nearly 50 percent of the company's workforce are women. Yum!'s diversity strategy includes employment, leadership development, purchasing and community involvement.
