In its sales update for October, YUM!, the Louisville, Ky.-based operator of the quick serve restaurant chains Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC said that U.S. same-store sales grew at a brisk 6%, while international sales were up 7% and its China division posted 10% sales growth.

For 2006, Yum! brands are looking at "continued expansion of our China and international division and strong U.S. same-store-sales growth." This QSR chain company projects more than 375 new quick serve restaurants in China this year, exceeding original targets.
