SAN DIEGO, Sep 06, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Since inventing the first quick-serve breakfast sandwich in 1969, Jack in the Box has served up breakfast on grilled sourdough bread, flaky croissants, warm tortillas and now on toasted ciabatta rolls. Jack's hearty new Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich - featuring two eggs, Black Forest ham, American cheese, bacon and hollandaise on a ciabatta roll - is worth getting up early for. But don't fret if you sleep late, Jack serves breakfast all day. The Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich is the latest in a line of ciabatta-based menu items offered at Jack in the Box. Earlier this year, the chain introduced chicken sandwiches and burgers on the Italian-style bread known for its crispy crust and soft, porous interior. "The response to our Ciabatta Burgers and Chicken Ciabatta sandwiches has been overwhelmingly positive," said Michelle Vespa, director of menu marketing and innovation at Jack in the Box Inc. "Now with the addition of the Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich, our guests can experience the great, hearth-baked flavor of ciabatta for breakfast, lunch and dinner." Jack's Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich is available now for a suggested price of $2.99, excluding tax, at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants. About Jack in the Box Jack in the Box Inc.
