Burgerville launches latest seasonal LTOs

Pacific Northwest-based Burgerville is known for its seasonal offerings. This month signals the return of its most popular seasonal menu offerings: Walla Walla Sweet Onion Rings, made from onions grown in Walla Walla, Wash., and Fresh Raspberry Milkshakes, Smoothies and Lemonade.

Burgerville also features a rotation of limited-time only gourmet menu offerings. This month's LTO is the Roasted Turkey & Cherry Chutney Wrap, available at all Burgerville restaurants for the next six weeks.

The Roasted Turkey & Cherry Chutney Wrap includes:

A spinach tortilla made by Don Pancho, which began in Salem, Ore. and has been in operation since 1979
Sliced Diestel roasted turkey, free of hormones, growth enhancers or antibiotics. Diestel supplies Burgerville's year-round turkey patties
Cherry chutney made from diced sweet dark cherries from Oregon Cherry Growers, the largest producer and processor of sweet cherries in the world and a grower-owned cooperative
All rolled together with cream cheese, lettuce and tomato

Burgerville's gourmet offerings support self-reliant communities in the areas that Burgerville serves with restaurants. The company has sought out local, like-minded individuals that share their belief that self-supporting and sustainable communities are thriving communities, naming them a Community Champion. Each Community Champion inspires a limited-time offer menu item, and proceeds from the sale of this menu offering go directly back into the Champion’s favorite charity serving the Portland community and beyond.

Burgerville says the menu items have met overwhelming success with guests and raised thousands of dollars for organizations such as the Oregon Food Bank and eat.think.grow.’s learning gardens.

The latest Community Champion is Allison Hensey, director of the Oregon Environmental Council. Hensey’s inspired menu item is helping to raise money to support the healthy foods and farms program, promoting the environmental stewardship and economic vitality of Oregon's farmers and ranchers.
