Nathan's Famous, Inc. reported another net income increase in the first quarter of its 2011 fiscal year ending June 27. Net income increased by 6.2 percent, and earnings per diluted share was up 7.4 percent in the first quarter as compared to the same time last year.

Total revenue was up 9.8 percent compared to last year's first quarter report.

In June, Nathan's Famous reported its seventh consecutive year of increased revenues and profits.

The fiscal year ended March 28, with annual income from continuing operations increasing by 12.3 percent.
