Hardee’s is turning 50 this month and plans to get its customers involved in the celebration.
Hardee’s will give away $50,000 in prizes through The Wheel of Awesome on its Facebook page. The company’s Twitter followers won’t be left empty handed; the company plans to give away $50 Hardee’s gift cards daily for correctly answering trivia questions, or posting birthday messages or pictures.
“Hardee’s has a rich history, amazing fans and an innovative spirit,” said Brad Haley, executive vice president of marketing for Hardee’s. “Turning 50 has put us in the mood to look back at our history and bring it to life in a modern way that gets fans involved in the party.”
In addition to the giveaways, Hardee’s has created a happy birthday video which is on the company’s YouTube channel. The video tells about Hardee’s history and features birthday messages from politicians, sports figures, franchisees, partners, bloggers and friends of the brand. Hardee’s is encouraging fans to submit their own happy birthday videos and selected will be featured on Hardee’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Fans can also view pictures depicting the 50 years of Hardee’s history. Pictures will be on the company’s Facebook and Flickr sites and fans will have the opportunity to share some of their own Hardee’s memories.
“We’re asking fans to share with us their stories, photos and videos showing their favorite Hardee’s memories,” Haley said. “Or, fans can send the brand a birthday message that could end up on our YouTube page or Facebook wall. We can’t wait to see what’s out there, and we’re definitely looking forward to making new friends, new fans and new memories.”
To end the birthday festivities, Hardee’s will be offering at participation locations its famous Made from Scratch Sausage Biscuits for 50 cents on Sept. 30.
