Beginning Sept. 22, Panda Express fans will be able to order the new Kobari Beef item, featuring slices of marinated beef tossed with wok-seared mushrooms, leeks, onions and red bell peppers.
The creation will be topped with Panda's new secret Kobari sauce inspired by the sweet, smoky and spicy flavors found in Korean barbeque.
"We want to share the unique flavors of Asian-style barbeque and are excited to bring a first-of-its-kind flavor profile to our guests," said Andy Kao, Panda Express' executive chef.
During the launch of the item, Panda Express will showcase its talking Panda Bear characters, Eddie and Tom-Tom, in a series of comedic commercials.
The chain will also host a Free Kobari Beef Day Sept. 29, when fans can sign onto Panda Express' Facebook page to receive a coupon for a free serving of the new menu item. Visit www.facebook.com/pandaexpress for more information.
