It only took about four years for the McDonald's snack wrap to get super-sized. The quick-service chain is testing a larger version of its chicken snack wrap, which was originally introduced in 2006.
The test wraps are described by the Chicago Sun-Times as being burrito-sized.
The chicken grande wraps include diced cucumber, shredded cheese, sliced tomato and lettuce. Three varieties are currently being tested, including Garden Ranch, with ranch sauce; Roma Pesta, with tomato pesto and garlic aioli; and Santa Fe BBQ, with barbecue ranch sauce, black beans and corn.
They are being sold for $3.99 each, compared to the $1.49 suggested retail price of original snack wraps.
This isn't the first evolution for the snack wrap line. Earlier this summer, McDonald's introduced an Angus snack wrap line.
A Big Mac-inspired wrap was launched in N.Y. Metro restaurants in 2009. It has since been retired from the menu.
