The Republic of Poland is about to get a twist on something new. Auntie Anne's soft pretzel chain has signed a master franchise agreement with Bachleda Investment Group Ltd. to bring the chain to the European country.

The first unit will open in early 2011 in Warsaw, Poland's capital. The expansion will then continue to Krakow and Zakopane.

This expansion news follows the announcement made earlier this month about Focus Brand's acquisition of Auntie Anne's.

Bachleda Investment Group manages several retail brands in Poland, including Carmex lip balm, Bachleda Fashion Street and Carolina Herrera.

Auntie Anne’s has nearly 1,100 locations throughout the world. Japan will get its first unit on Nov. 18 in Tokyo.
