Allied Brands Ltd., an Australian-based franchise company, has lost its rights for its Baskin-Robbins units in that country.
The stores' operations have been taken over by Dunkin' Brands, headquartered in Massachusetts.
According to Smart Company, a settlement agreement wasn't reached, and McGrath Nicol has been appointed receiver and manager of Allied Brands' subsidiary Allied Brands Services.
Baskin-Robbins accounted for more than 21 percent of Allied's total revenue last year. The company operated 95 units across Australia.
