Robb Chase has been named president of Quiznos operations in Canada. Chase has prior restaurant experience leading companies such as PepsiCo and Papa John's International.
While working with PepsiCo's restaurant group, he handled international franchising for brands such as KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. As president of Papa John's International, Chase headed up close to 500 restaurants, including operations in China and the United Kingdom.
Chase also negotiated franchise rights and improved licensed operations for Famous Players, which worked with clients such as Burger King, Baskin Robbins, New York Fries and Tim Hortons.
"I am thrilled to join the team leading an important brand like Quiznos that's continually innovating to push the boundaries of quick-service restaurant dining," Chase said.
Chase's predecessor, Greg MacDonald, was recently appointed Quiznos Worldwide CEO.
"Bringing an executive on board with a background as varied and extensive in our industry as Robb Chase's is a significant move for Quiznos. We're enthusiastic about the skills and experience Robb brings to the table and look forward to seeing the benefit to our growing Canadian team," MacDonald said.
The Quiznos sandwich chain has nearly 500 units throughout Canada, making up a sizeable portion of its 4,000 international stores in 25 countries. Quiznos recently announced its goal to expand to 15 more countries and territories within two years.
